C-Think’s public viewers and electors were set to watch a Friendly Debate between May Pen Primary School and Victoria Primary & Infant School last Friday. The teams are two of 16 that have formed Jamaica’s C-Think Junior League, and they are already building a fan base!
C-Think Coach, VPI’s Denton McKenzie was concerned that another event at the institution could distract his team’s debaters. Some viewers have been eager to see a test of whit between May Pen’s Rameilua and Victoria’s Hayleah. Both captains are female and are already growing public favourites!
The team managers waited over a month for debates to begin. They want to highlight students with promising Critical Thinking attributes.
May Pen’s Theresa Francis has always recognized the value of complementing curricular with award winning competitions. She says that students who excel a Critical Thinking need more rewards and attention.
